How Big Is Garth Brooks’ Nashville Bar?
The grand opening will unveil all four floors of the 54,715 square-foot venue, in addition to the police substation built in partnership with the MNPD. Friends In Low Places is expected to blend tradition with innovation as each floor is designed to celebrate Brooks’ successful country music career while simultaneously paying homage to the city that helped change his life and the comfort of honky-tonks everywhere.
“If you are one of the lucky ones who come to this town and receive its many blessings, don’t you owe something to Nashville?” said Brooks. “Garth Brooks owes a lot to Music City.”
What Is Special About The Friends In Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk?
The first two floors take the classic honky-tonk to the next level using advanced audio-visual technology and a live music stage. Artists will get the chance to showcase their talent on the custom-built, retractable stage that sits in the heart of the building and features the iconic Circle G emblem. This symbol was repurposed from New York City’s Central Park stage where Garth Brooks performed to a record-breaking audience of over a million people back in1997. To this day, that concert remainsthe largest in the park’s history.
These exciting new elements were installed by the same team that has toured the world with Brooks, meaning Friends In Low Places is sure to emulate the same show-stopping appeal of a Garth Brooks concert.
In addition to the one-of-a-kind stage, the first floor features two bars, plenty of seating, and an expansive dance floor. As guests make their way to the second level, they will find two more bars as well as a mezzanine, where they can get a birds-eye view of the live music taking place below. The second floor also offers a drink rail positioned along the front of the building, equipped with sliding glass windows that overlook the neon lights of Broadway.
A trio of event spaces sits on the third floor that can hold up to 250 guests. Each space was designed with a double-sided fireplace and an intimate patio to mirror the warm and inviting atmosphere of Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood’s home.
Does Garth Brooks’ Bar Have A Rooftop?
Finally, guests are invited to follow the lyrics of Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places” hit and “Slip On Up To The Oasis,”which in this case a beachy paradise on the largest rooftop on Lower Broadway. The Oasis Rooftop’s tropical theme includes 10-foot palm trees, retractable garage doors, and two full bars offering plenty of two piña coladas.
Of course, no Garth Brooks venue would be complete without a special touch from his other half. Alongside the grand opening, Friends in Low Places will offer the first taste of the menu curated by Trisha Yearwood. Each of the four floors promises a selection of dishes inspired by her best-selling cookbooks – from Mama’s Meatloaf to Fried Chicken with white gravy and more. The honky-tonk’s food menu is expected to be available from 11 am – 9 pm, seven days a week.
“I can’t imagine there being a Garth honky-tonk without Trisha Food!” added Yearwood. “I’m honored to get to be a part of something so exciting and so big, and to work alongside the love of my life doing it. The whole team at Friends In Low Places is incredible!”
Friends In Low Places has revealed plans to be open seven days a week, from 11:00 am – 2:00 am Monday through Friday and 10:00 am – 2:00 am on Saturday and Sunday.
