In my freshman year I stayed in Arkansas Hall and it was ok, the dormitory itself wasn't great but my roommate became my best friend so that made it better. When I got to school I joined a club called dancers united and after on the team for just two semesters I became acting president of the club. My freshman experience with campus life was really fun and I can't wait for years to come. I was also apart of a community called Bear Life in my freshman year. Bear life was a community of students who were given the opportunity to join our freshman year because it was a new organization. The organization is campus lead and mainly helps students get acclimated to campus life and study life.

My experience at the University of Central Arkansas was a little unique. I was a nontraditional student, so I came in with a few college credits and a military background. All of the instructors were always extremely helpful and genuinely caring. The teachers not only care about your academic performance, but they also care about your professional and personal life. I feel that UCA has a good balance of creating a close community in their programs while still being a large enough school to offer many different degrees and opportunities.
