How do I sign out of a Gmail account on my computer? ›

The only way to sign out of the Gmail app is to remove your entire account from your phone or tablet. However, you can do many of the same tasks through other actions. When you remove an account, it removes the account from all apps on the device.

If you keep getting signed out

Some antivirus or related software may delete your cookies. If your cookies are turned on, clear your browser's cache. Be aware that deleting your cookies may resolve the problem, but it will also remove your saved settings for sites you've visited.

If a user receives a large volume of emails with attachments, stores a lot of emails with large attachments, or has been using Gmail for a long time without managing their emails, they may reach or exceed their storage quota. Large Attachments: Emails with large attachments consume more storage space.

Go to myaccount.google.com. In the top right, select your profile picture or initial. Select Sign out or Sign out of all accounts. Select Remove an account.

Sign Out of Chrome on Your Desktop or Smartphone

Look for your Google profile photo in the upper-right corner of the page. Click your profile photo and select Sign out. The process is a bit different on a smartphone. The screenshots below are for Android.

Removing a Google Account from Chrome

Upon clicking the profile picture, a menu will appear. Look for the gear icon next to "Other Profiles" near the bottom of the menu. Click the three dots in the top right corner of the account you wish to remove and select "Delete" from the small drop-down menu that appears.

Go to your Google Account. On the left navigation panel, select Security. On the Your devices panel, select Manage all devices. Sign out.
