Overview
Dragonball: Evolution is a 2.5D sci-fi fantasy fighting game developed by Dimps and published by Namco Bandai for the PlayStation Portable in Japan (on March 19, 2009), North America (on April 8, 2009), and Europe (on April 17, 2009).
A video game tie-in with the 2009 live-action film of the same name (itself based on the Dragon Ball manga and anime), Dragonball: Evolution follows high-school martial artist Goku as he and his companions search for the seven Dragonballs before they fall into the hands of the demon lord Piccolo (and his ninja henchwoman Mai).
The game's engine is based on the one used for Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai (and its sequel), while its visuals are less cartoony and utilizes the likenesses of the film's actors for the game's characters (most notably Chow Yun-Fat as Master Roshi).
