How to start a fundraiser

Start fundraising for St. Jude with our easy process that provides you with everything you’ll need to make your fundraiser a success.

1. Choose a fundraiser

The first step is choosing what kind of fundraiser you’d like to start. To jumpstart your process, select an idea from our options above, create one yourself or check out our list of 50 fundraising ideas.

2. Sign up

All you need is a name and goal for your fundraiser because, when you sign up to start a fundraiser for St. Jude, you’ll receive everything you need to get started. This includes:

  • A fundraising website for you to personalize and promote your event
  • A digital fundraising toolkit including fundraising tools, social media assets and tips
  • Access to the St. Jude support team to answer all of your fundraising questions

3. Share your fundraiser

One of the most important parts of a successful fundraiser is raising awareness. Share your fundraiser with family and friends and on social media to get the word out.

4. Start fundraising

Raise funds and awareness for St. Jude solo or create a team with family, friends or colleagues.

Every dollar raised makes a difference in the lives of kids at St. Jude. When you fundraise, you can combine your donation with others and increase the amount you’re able to donate, helping your dollars go even further. The money donated to St. Jude goes toward cutting-edge research and treatment methods, care for patients and their families, toys and games for patients and more.

How to start a fundraiser FAQs

  1. There is no registration fee to host a St. Jude event and all donated funds directly benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

  2. We cannot send you a digital copy of our logo, but we do ask that you state that your event is "benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital." We're sorry, but you are not authorized to use St. Jude logos to create any event or fundraising materials without the express written permission of St. Jude.

  3. St. Jude cannot provide shirts or giveaways, but those who register to host a fundraiser will receive an online fundraising page, fundraising toolkit and fundraising support staff to help answer questions. One-of-a-kind official St. Jude gifts and products can be purchased at the St. Jude Gift Shop.
